Default I have some questions about mods!

Hey guys, my name is Andrew and I live in Knoxville, Tn. I am picking up a ls1 this weekend to go in my tube frame mazda rx7 that is designed for roadracing. The engine will start and run right now as it is in a 1999 camaro. This engine is coupled to a automatic which I'm not picking up. I was thinking about going with the TKO 5 speed transmission for its various shifter locations, affordable price, and 600 ft lbs capacity. As fas as this engine goes, I would like around 500 rwhp without a monster cam in it. I'm not to up on engines when it comes to getting the right combination of parts so hopefully someone can help me out! I plan to get forged rods, forged pistons, and bearings for the bottom end. I guess it wouldnt be a bad idea to bore it out while im at it?? Should I get stock ls6 heads or some ported ones? I found ported stage 2 heads from patriot for 1245.00 which seems like a great deal. What rockers should I use along with pushrods? I have seen that the pushrods come in different lengths also? Some guidance on a cam? What compression ratio would be usable for 93 octane? 11 to 1? I would love to raise the redline up a bit if at all possible too. Again guys, I just need some good combinations that have been proven to make good reliable power and a decent price.
