Default Lq4? Ls2? Ls6?

Spun a bearing in my 1999 WS6 M6.
It is all stock. I have 28lb injectors, ported TB and LS6 intake
I was wondering...
If i could round up a LQ4....
Could i rebuild that and make a 402 or 408?
I was considering using my stock 243 heads instead of the 317s?
Forge it for roughly $2K
Maybe heads/cam package $2k
And ill be looking at a cast iron 6.0L instead of an aluminum ls1

Or maybe a 6.0L aluminum Ls2?

IMO i prefer the ls6...but they are impossible to find for a decent price.
Crateenginedepot and SDPC are sold out of LS6.... Thoughts?

my recommendation. pick up a bare lq4 or lq9 block. which you can usually get for under 400 bucks.

shoot a call over to john at TSP. they hooked me up with their rotating assembly package for my 408. costs about $2300 (thats callies crank/rods/wiseco pistons/rings) a machine shop will run roughly 1200 to machine everything and install.

after that its a matter of choosing your head and cam package. and of course intake. or you can just buy one of TSP's longblocks also. they are reasonably priced.

pistons would cost the same. sure you could use the ls1 heads and ls6 intake on either CI youd be choking the crap out of it though.
