Hello thank you guys for reading, Awhile ago I bought a cam off ebay and I am just now installing. I was told it was a stock z06 cam. The numbers do not appear to match what I have found here and I would like to find out what this belongs to in order to determine what to do with it. The number on the cam appears to have been modified maybe and is difficult to read. Looks like 1409828504 or maybe 1489828504. Thanks again for everyones help.

 

Nope, thats a 2002+ Z06 cam. 5308. P/N 12565308

 

cam+ebay= disaster.

 

It could be a re-grind , measure the base circles of the lift lobes . A re-ground cams lobes will be alot smaller than a stock LS1 / LS6 lobes .

 

I understand the 5308 number matching but why is the first digits not on the cam and the remaining numbers do not match?

 

I'm at work now, but when I get home I'll post the pic of my 02 Z06 cam. I think it looked just like the one you posted.
