coolant crossover lines question
What problems would happen if that was blocked off?
I have fixed the problem now by connecting it to the radiator like it should be but I drove it for a week this way in the pics. When I got the car from the shop that installed the engine. A bolt was blocking off the line from the T connection of the coolant lines for the heads that crossover under the intake.
The other line from the radiator was just was dangling with an open hose coupler to the ground. The car never ran over 185 mostly stayed around 175-178ish even on a 1.5 hr drive.
I THINK the lines still got coolant because some came out when I took the bolt out and replaced the entire line to the radiator.
Just curious at this point. My lifters or rockers or something would clap off and on after about 10-15 minutes of driving. Since I have connected that line it hasnt made any noise but I havent went on any real long rides to test it.
This is on the camaro in the sig.
