Default Cheapest vendor for complete Motors? Possibly trans?

Hey guys i was just curious what the cheapest vendor would be that sells complete motors? I was thinking of going just with a built LS1 or a built 408 not quite sure yet. Just kind of want to start looking around and maybe get some stuff ordered before i get home from the Sand Box so i can finish my Z! Any help would be appreciated, and military discounts are a plus

Thanks man, i'll start looking around there. Can't decide to finish the SRT project for my DD or to finish the Cammy first!

It's just a toss up men, might even just clean the shell up a bit and sell it. Not sure i can afford 2 projects at once with Army pay.

Maybe this isn't a project where you buy something based solely on price. A new crate LS3 wouldn't be a bad place to start either.

I would buy used low mile heads, cam, and intake. Then a sponsor short block. Everyone is always going bigger. Short block means alot. A few hundred bucks is the difference between slapped together and done right.

To me the cheapest short block is the one that doesn't break. I would look at some of the ASE offerings.

If i decide to spend a little more than i want to, then TSP will be getting a call for a built Long Block. Only shitty thing is i am starting back from scratch! And i just bought a new DD (the SRT), which is currently alot faster than the Camaro was... So that needs to change! Plus i just had the Z repainted and that was a grip for Mystic Teal Metallic!

Not impressed with S&P or their parts.

Hmmm that AES 390 seems legit! Something to ponder on
