Default Another question about piston to valve

Will this work?

Going on a 5.3

5.3 heads milled .050" w/ 2.02/1.60" valves
212/218 .558/.563" 115 LSA

Anyone see any clearance problems? Anyone know the final chamber volume or compression ratio (5.3)? Thanks for any help!

I don't know if this helps but I have 5.7's milled .050 w/a slightly larger cam. So far, so good.

EDIT: cam has .563 lift.

11.8 is what it looks to be. I doubt it will be a good idea with that small cam....not much overlap. Instead of milling you may want to use a thinner gasket. A cometic muti-layer steel gasket of .033 will yeild the same CR and give you .030 better piston to valve clearance. If it doesn't work as far as knocking then you can reverse it with a stock thickness gasket or a cometic .040.---11.4.

That 11.8:1 must be on an LS1. This is going on a 5.3 with 9-9.5:1 compression stock.
