Default use tally spring tool to put springs back on??

we use the spring tool that resembles a golf ball mark repair tool, sometimes called a tallt TA tool. Anyway can you use it to put the new springs back on? we use it to compress the stockers and take the keys loose. BUt then we use an handheld spring compressor to put springs back on=PITA.

We would hate to strip the threads in the head! or are we just overly cautious. We spent like 4+ hours on the springs this time! If we could just use that tally deal to put them back on it would take a hour!

Are guys putting new springs on w the tool???

you can use it to put the springs back on no problem

one thing

i HIGHLY recommend using a stud and nut to compress the springs rather than a stock rocker bolt

after 9 spring swaps with no issues, i snapped a rocker bolt off in the head. wasnt a big deal and was cake to get out, but i now use a stud and nut
