its a mild cam(214/222-.559/.566-115)... if u want stealth, its decent, but on the small side these days... u should get something at least in the mid 220's, like a C1, or a TR224, bigger even if u want...

I looked at that cam pretty hard when I bought mine. From what I learned the SLP 51011 is a nice sleeper cam. It idles very near stock. and makes decent power for a little cam. It is also easy on the valvetrain as the ramp rates on the lobes are not all that agressive.

I found the SLP 51011 to be rediculously priced. That is what killed it for me. When I looked at comparable CC216/220 or the TR220 cam, both would make more power, idle well, have equal or better street manners and cost less money.

I think if I were building a mild street car that I was going to use a 150 shot of NO2 with, the SLP 51011 would be a great cam.

There is a better bang for your buck than the SLP 51011 no matter how you slice it. I personally went with the TR220.

A C1 or 224/224 cam will not idle even close to the 51011. You could consider the 51011 a "stealth cam" as it has improved power and idles near stock, a C1 or 224 cam as mentioned above are not stealth.

Good luck.

i see your an slp fan

i agree with the above guy, better can be had. a B1, tr220, tsp 220, tr224 can all be had on 114 lsa's and with a good tune can be past off as realitively stealthy and all of the above are proven cams and theres a wealth of info on them. the same cant be said about the slp one.

I have the 51013 w/the SLP heads, headers, & tune. 419 SAE RWHP. Not bad for a few years ago. Today's setup can get you more however. Nevertheless, it has worked well for me and held up fine.
