Default Faster 1/8 mi...H/C or FI?

Both motors would be 346ci. Would a PRC 5.3 headed with a 228/230ish cam and a fast 90 or a 550rwhp P1SC car be faster in the 1/8?

Also could that H/C/I combo hit 450rwhp?

How about a good nitrous set up and the parts to get the power to the ground. I mean a head/cam package is not going to make 550 rwhp however i dont think a P1 is going to do it or at least not for long on a stock bottom end. As for a 450 head cam set up. yes it is possible but numbers on the dyno mean very little and even more so in the 1/8th. Getting traction and having the right gears is a good place to start.

As long as set up properly, p1sc car.

Doubtful on 450rwhp with that setup.

The P1SC is my old car that I may buy back. It has forged internals and runs 10lbs all day 550rwhp. A few people told me that the blower is better for 1/4 mile, long runs whatever you want to call it. They also said a stought H/C/I would be a faster stoplight to stoplight car. So I was thinking if I buy it back to take the blower off and do the H/C/fast intake and 4.10 gears in the 12 bolt.

Well it is making around 100 more rwhp so of course it would be more stout up top. But a blower takes power to make power. Put a 150 hit on the hc car and walk all over thr blower car. Way more torque and all the power instant.

With forged Internals I would swap to a d1 with around 13-15lbs,no reason to have a simple heads cam car with a car that Is setup for boost and forged, leaving a lot on the table.
The car with forged internal wins no matter what because you can just up the boost or nitrous shot.

Yeah lemons I think the N2O may be the ticket. I am not a track guy just like a fast 0-60 car as fast as I can get there. The damn P1SC combo with the 3.73 rear just felt like a dog on the low end....probably didn't help that I came from a 540 BBC

What heads are in the p1 car? Dished pistons? You know the cr?

Sell the p1 kit for 3k... buy a bad *** nitrous kit for 1000...2k left over for a rear. 650rwhp car that can take the abuse.

Sell p1 for 3k.. spend 1k on nitrous spray it with a 250.
Decent used heads 1k
1k left over for whatever you need it for. Fuel system, trans, suspension, etc..

I think with most avergae H/C packages they are generally around 430rwh. More than that and it starts getting expensive, errr more expensive.

Like i said you can dyno a car all day long. But the fact is hp/tq numbers are only half the story. How the car looks and gets the power to the ground can be just as important. And as i said before for the 1/8 nitrous is going to be king.

Good advice here. Make sure to factor in tuning though. I agree that nitrous is the way to go.
