I need some help Im returning from Iraq after a year and have about 8,000 dollars to spend i really want to be in the tens. I have a 2002 collector TA i have hooker long tubes true duals, lid filter ,sub frame connectors and 410s in stock ten bolt i also have a 6 speed I know i will haft to get a 12 bolt im thinking about the t-rex cam from thunder racing the NXL kit with 120 or 180 jets spec stage 3 clutch, Q a1s, sphon torque arm ,throttle body and maf ends will this get me in the tens or are heads needed any info would be appreciated

 

You won't need heads to get into the 10's, I didn't. You'll also need a nice set of slicks, and a beefy D/S.

You might want to move this to the Drag Racing forum, problably get more of a response there.

I'm hoping for 10.30-10.40's this year.

First, congrats on a successful deployment and thanks on behalf of us all.

You'll need some dyno time with someone who knows how to do software tuning, carolinaautomasters.com is in Durham, NC and has a great reputation. The parts/mods list you posted looks good, don't forget you'll need a roll cage going that fast at most tracks.
