Cubic Inches of Air?
I was playing with some forumlas this morning for my own curiousity and for a build I have been contemplating and I have run into something that I am unsure how to figure out on my own.
I was working on the volumetric efficiency formula this morning trying to figure out my own setup and now I am wondering (knowing that the stock LS1flows 311 cubic inches of air at 6200 rpm), how would I figure out what it flows if I swapped out the heads or heads and intake for example?
Thanks.
Take the size of the engine and divide by the volumetric efficiency.
Ex. 346 / 90 % is 311.4
I figured this by working the Cubic Inches of Air formula backwards. I was wanting to know because I have lost alot of the stuff I used to know I am getting ready to work on a friends car and I am trying to re-learn some things again.
Edit: Ignore the part about the heads and intake in the first post - I don't know what I was thinking about (to many things not enough space - I guess).

311 would be for one pen and close of all cylinders maybe per sec but. what good is any of this info to you
I'm getting ready to work on a project and I was brushing up on the math and also trying to figure out so of the other calculators I seen just for my own benefit of knowing how it is done.
