Post your oil pressure: (let us make oil pressure data base )

Oil weight : 0w-40
Oil pump : SLP oil pump
idle cold : 48 psi
idle hot : 40 psi
cruising : 45 psi
WOT: 65 psi
Gauge (Stock/mechanical/electrical) : VDO oil pressure gauge (electrical)

Oil pump : Melling 10296 hi pressure/hi volume oil pumpidle cold : 70 psi
idle hot : 45-50 psi
cruising : 50 psi
WOT: 75 psi

Pennzoil oil
Fram double guard filter

04 GTO A4, 93,000 MILES. 408 iron stroker with about 150 miles on it

99 ws6, 95k miles, lid and muffler.

weight/type: 5w30 syn & wix filter
pump: stock
idle cold: 50 lbs
idle hot: 25-30 lbs
cruising: 38-45 lbs
WOT: 60ish

i think other info, such as mileage and engine mods, is helpful.

15K, 6.0 LQ4.
Mild cam, no other mods.
10w - 30
55 cold start.
45 hot idle
45-50 hot at hiway speeds.
Stock, ported pump w/ stock spring, no shim.

Cursing? That usually raises my blood pressure not my oil pressure.

On a side note, how accurate is the stock Gauge?

oil weight: 0w-30 synth german castrol
oil pump: ported LS6
idle cold: 45 psi
idle hot: 35psi (at 210*F oil temp)
cruising: 45-50psi (2000rpm)
WOT: 65-70psi
gauge: stock
filter: k&n 2006

This is in an iron 6.0 block with .0022"-.0025" on the mains & rods and .023" rod side clearance.

Idle hot: 40 most of the time (started dropping to 25-30 after mobil-1 filter at stop lights sometimes, stayed at 45-50 w/ kn)
Crusing: 45-50
Wot: 60ish
Pump: stock as far as I know
Gauge: stock

Ls1 w/ 140k miles

i switched them by accident. should be 45 idle, 48 cruising.

Full bolt on LS1 that gets its *** handed to it every time I drive it with 71K miles on the clock.
