Default CheaTr v3 cam

Ok so i just wanted to go a head and ask because i have searched and searched, some people say no and and some say yes. I have a stock lq9 that im swapping in my car. It will be stock bottom end lq9, stock 317 heads, patriot gold valve springs, longtubes , ls1 intake, ported tb, 36lb injectors, powerbond pully, trunion upgrade, ls7 lifters, ls2 trays, tsp ported ls6 oil pump, ls2 chain, and a cheatr v3. Some of the local guys keep telling me with the stock 317s im going to have piston valve clearance issues. So can any of you guys point me in the right directions with my build or am i on track. Im still a little new to the gen 3 motors so please forgive me for the newb questions.

You are on the track and you won't have any piston to valve clearance issues. The Cheater V3 is a good cam for a daily driven car.

you will not have any issues from what i have read with that cam unless you mill the heads or mess something up on the install.

With any unmodified LS series engine, you will have NO PTV issues with that cam. It has been run in everything from an LS1 through an LS9.
