Default LQ4 Combo Critque

Been reading on here non stop for the last couple weeks. Im wanting to build a lq4 I have sitting around for my 1968 camaro. Im looking for advise, tips on the combo. Im wanting to do all stock bottom end, 799 heads stock, ls1 intake. Im not sure what to get on a cam though. I would like to be able to throw down 350 rwhp through my 4l80e I plan on running. Any advise or tips would be great. Thanks

you can get a ls6 intake for $300.if a ls truck intake will fit you can get them for cheap, they make more power then a ls1 intake.look at a TSP 224r-228r cam pkg.do you have the harness for the motor?

Do you have a converter? This will hugely effect camshaft choice. What type of rpms are you wanting to shift at? Whats the vehicle weight/gearing? What type of usage....weekend cruiser?

No I dont have a convertor yet so thats up in the air as well. Car is about 3400 lbs with 3.73 gears. I dont honestly know where I would want my shifting rpm's to be honest. Ya this is just a weekend car that im hoping to take to the strip every now and then.

I would think a mid 22x duration with 58x lift on a 112 lsa..Or give Geoff a call from EPS and get him to spec you a cam...way mo betta..

As for the ls1 intake..as said at least get a ls6 or imo a ls2 intake to reap the benefits of the 90mm t-body...but afaik a truck intake makes the same as a ls6 to around 5500 rpm with a mid 220 cam...

But for off the shelf a 224r cam and a 3000 stall speed converter would put a smile on our face

Ok I got a harness, and a set of 799 heads. I'm going to go with a 3000 to 3500 stall. What cam woukd be best? What thickness head gaskets should I go with? I'm looking for a ls2 intake and a 90mm tb. What injectors will I need? Thx
