383's don't really gain much over 346 set ups. The larger valves you need to support the airflow requirements are just shrouded by the small bore.

Its better to start off with a 4" bore like an LQ4 or LS2 block.

The stroker benefits all over, alot of guys look at peak this and peak that. The real gains with larger displacment are below peak numbers, go compare a solid 400+ci set up vs a 346 below 3000rpm and tell me what you see, im willing to bet damn near a 100tq difference in the lower rpms.

1300 horsepower is easily attainable from an LQ4 and a 4" stroke. Just add a couple T-76 turbos, 120lb injectors, race gas, and some ice water in the A2W intercooler reservoir.
