Default ls1 boring??

I'm rebuilding a 98 ls1 and I have a little surface rust on the walls, I was wondering if it would be safe to note the block to 4.00 inches and use 6.0 pistons?

Factory bore is 3.898 and can usually be honed out to 3.903, 3.905, or 3.908
I believe thats all the larger the factory sleeves can go. NO BORING !!!!!

I would not advise boring a stock LS1 block that far, the sleeve won't allow it. At most we hone them .010". If you need a larger bore I would try and find a 6.0 block.
