Crank and cam position sensors
My question is my machinist told me I would have to do some sort of "relearn" on the crank and cam position sensors since everything was changed. When I was doing some breaking in I did notice that my car was running pretty rich and when I went above 3.5-4k RPMs or so the car would sort of sputter and pop. I checked the plug wires and everything seemed to be okay. Would the sensors cause something like this to happen?
The pistons are -9.6cc dished so I thought maybe that without a tune lowering the compression would possibly cause a rich condition as well. The car seems to run and drive alright aside from those occasional hiccups at higher RPMs.
Any ideas from anyone? I figure enough people around here have done rebuilds before that someone would know if this sort of thing is normal before tuning or not.
