Default Should i put a bigger cam in or not ????

I have the tr 224/224 112 cam and i am gettin ready to install some stage 2 heads .... Now i am wondering if i should do a bigger cam , The heads have comp 978 double springs and i wanna stick with stock lifters so whats the biggest i can go with , or should i say what cam will give me a good pickup over what i have and not give me problems all the time with springs breaking or wearing out a lifter

thanks
