Which Cam To Go With
Building a lq9 with stock rotating assembly and 317 heads milled .015 and comp springs. Staying with the truck intake for now. Its going in a 94 obs extended cab with a 4l80e trans and a 3200 or 3400 stall. This is just a play toy truck. would you go with a tsp228r or the torquer v2. Would I need bigger injectors to go with it. Once the swap is complete then ls6 heads and intake might be in order.

If it just a play toy than you should put sum slicks on it get a 4k stall and a torquer v2 or higher cam. And why would you do all tht work on a cam and than tear back into it and do heads? might as well wait and do it all at once

I agree, but I would contact a cam supplier like Texas Speed or Thunder racing etc and tell them your setup and you goals for the project and they will give you the best cam for your application. If it was me, I would also do they heads at the same time and have them spec out the best set of heads for whatever cam you pick.

The LQ9 is already @ 10.0 : 1 comp and the 317 heads have the identical
runner shape as the 243s...only 71 cc chambers instead of 64. Blend the
bowls w/ 80 grit cartridge rolls, wack em' .030 (approx. 10.6), and get a TSP
233/239 bumpstick. You'll be a happy camper !!!!
....also the stock injectors are pretty stout. I dryshot a .062 jet in a 03 SS silv.
and it kinda liked it...1.76 60ft.
