6.0 Rebuild with H/C questions
I am going to rebuild my LQ4(145K) when I get back from Afghanistan before I swap it into my 85 C10. I am going to hopefully just use the stock internals w/upgraded rod bolts or some Scat rods depending on costs. My question is in regards to heads/cam. I will leave it stock for now to get it running but I plan to swap some 243/799s and a cam at the same time, my question is should I save for some ported 243s or just go with stock 243s? It will be a daily driver with the occasional trip to the strip and either a TQ3 or Tsunami cam kit. I would like to reach 400-425 rwhp through a/th350 and 9" w/3.89 gears.
