Default What in the hell is that noise? Intermittent Tick

Here is the video:

you can hear the intermittent tick. If I free rev the motor, it doesnt do anything to the noise at all (doesnt seem to get faster). However when driving, it does seem to get 'faster' with engine speed, BUT it is still intermittent, not consistant/constant.

Sounds like it is coming from the back/middle of the engine, but hard to tell. What I mean is, regardless if I stand on either side of the engine, it doesnt sound more from one side versus the other. Seems more in the middle, or back/middle of the engine. but I will still probably pull the valve covers to see if anything stands out...

Anyone had this or know of anyone that has had this type of thing?

So I took a mechanic stethiscope to the car tonight, it made zero noise when it was cold, still none when I had let it warm up on idle, but after I drove it around the block awhile and reved it through the RPMs a few times, the noise came back. I parked the car, use the steth, and narrowed the noise easily to the #8 cylinder. I will upload a new video here shortly, still nearly the same as before, jsut doing it more often with the engine warmer.

Anyone have any clues?

and here is me free revving the motor, notice the tick does not really get much faster, however if driving down the street, the tick does get more 'frequent' but still not 'consistant' (still random, not constant frequency)
