Planning a 383 turbo motor
Im going to pull my ls1 motor, that I spun a bearing, pretty soon. Im going to build it and hope for 800-900 whp, pump gas, possibly meth, using a HT60 Holset turbo, callies rotaing assembly. I have a few questions for you guys.
The place i am getting it from has the option of -9cc, -15, or -32cc wiseco dish pistons. I am thinking of getting the -32cc for about a 8.5:1 cr. anyone think -15cc would be better?
Would the SLP oil pump/dual timing chain kit be good for my power goal? or would a melling pump and another company be better?
I have upgraded springs and pushrods, does anyone think i have to upgrade my lifters and rockers for the power? i'm not trying to spin more than 7,000 rpm max prob. less.
I am getting arp main and head studs fyi.
whats the best HG i can buy? i was looking at the ics titan HG and it looks nice.

cc reliefs needed vary depending on head's chamber size. You do not want it to be too low of a SCR because to achieve those numbers, you'll need then to compensate with more boost. (9>9.5:1) on a properly done motor would be my target.

If it were me I'd consider 15cc pistons, thin gasket, and finding a set of untouched 317 heads for it. I think the Wiseco's are designed to sit at zero deck. Do a cleanup mill on the block and the heads and you'd be right at 9.5:1 with a better setup than either you mentioned.
