GM or arp head bolts?

Default GM or arp head bolts?

well what should i buy...these are goin on a6.0 im buildin for my truck...i figured i would just go with a gm gasket set from texas speed that also comes with head bolts...i figure if i can trust a GM block to hold up to alota power i can sure as hell trust GM bolts to work....what do u guys think?

arp's are the best, and reusable...go with them they are worth it

Thats like asking if you should buy a mercedes or a volkswagon. Sure the volkswagon will work, but wont give you near the comfort of a mercedes

For the few extra dollars I'd get the ARP hardware just for piece of mind.

The post above says it perfectly, sure they will get the job done but there are much better ways to go about it. The ARP stuff is priced fairly and well worth the money in my opinion. Whether you go bolts or studs you will be getting your moneys worth.

If you do go with studs make sure you are installing them correctly. There was a thread a while back that described someone who punched through his block by not installing them correctly.

The gm bolts work just fine unless you are gonna be boosting the motor with a 'charger or turbo then i would def go with the ARPs. And if you plan on swapping heads more than once i would say go with the ARPs. The only down side to them (and its not really that bad) is you need to retorque them after the first heat cycle from what i was told. The GMs....just torque them and go.
