Default tick...tick...tick...

Fianlly got a 12 bolt in after almost 2 years in the garage with a broken rear. Had the car up north this last weekend and she started ticking pretty bad. Started it with the belt off to see if it was an accessory (still ticked), pulled the valve covers to see if there was a broken spring and there is not. Last night I pulled the pass side head and all the lifters seem to be ok.

Is there a way to test the lifters to see if they are bad? Any other ideas? rod?

How long did you let the engine run? After two years you’re really should have primed the oil system. I am going to guess it definitely a lifter that is collapsed.

maybe when you broke the rear you over spun the engine and bent a pushrod
