Default Help Quick Gaskets!!!!!

i am starting a cam swap, and on ls1howto.com, it says i only need a front engine seal, and water pump gaskets, but what about the valve cover gaskets (redoing the springs) and the timing chain cover gasket??

can you tell me the p/n for these parts for an 01 SS

you dont really need vavle cover gaskets...

the timing cover gasket is part #12558013

You don't really NEED water pump gaskets, I just installed my cam and used some high temp sealer and it is working great. I would have bought the gaskets except no one (dealer or parts store) in the area had them. You will need the timing cover(front cover) gasket AND seal. The seal presses in the middle of the cover right behind the balancer. You will also need several beers or at least I did... Hope this helps.
