What numbers should I be looking at for a 5.3l with 243 heads milled to 10.5:1 in a 35xx lb car with driver? I'm not looking for a "torquey" cam as I already have traction issues, the power would be more useable in the mid-upper RPM range. The current converter will foot brake to around 3100rpm.

Car has an ls1 intake (could be changed to LS6 easily) and Shorty headers.

A 228 cam would "act" bigger in a 5.3 with its smaller displacement...I think that might make you happy
