should i deck the heads or not?

should i deck the heads or not? building a 6.0 turbo motor, was planning on bringing the heads to the machine shop to get them to make them 100% perfect. now i am getting anxious and want to set my valves and springs up in them. is that a big no no. heads came off a motor that was running and not over heated. should i build them or am i stupid?
What are the details on the short-block and which heads are you running? I'd at least recommend a "skim" pass to ensure they are flat, but any further than that I'd need to know some more details to make the educated recommendation!

I'd run a thin gasket and mill them a bit, otherwise she'll be too low on compression and a slouch until you get into more RPM and get the turbo spooled (of course depends on the turbo specs). Milled to 68cc chambers and running the .040" gasket you're going to net about 9.1:1 static compression. That is about as low as I'd recommend for most street/strip boost builds.
