Default New Build Questions

Very soon im tearing into my camaro and I have a few questions. I am currently running Texas speed stage 1 243s unmilled, ms3 cam, ported fast 90/90, full exhaust and stock 10 bolt with 3.42s and its a stick car.

I plan on doing a 9 inch with 4.30s with some drag springs and shocks and going through the motor with forged rods and pistons with around 11.5 to 1 compression.

Now my questions are should I send my heads off and get them ported even more or is it even worth it. And should I mess with a custom cam. The car pulls insane now up top but lacks mid range, but im thinking the big bump in compression and going from 3.42s to 4.30s will help as well. Also im only spinning it to 6500 now and with a better bottom end I can spin it to 7200+ and I can tell my motor has alot left in it.

It will also be receiving the bottle while its apart with a standalone fuel system.

I don't care about dyno numbers, I just want to go high 10s on motor and high 9s on the jug.

Thanks

reduce a little weight and i don't see any reason you're not there or really close already w/that combo. I like it (ported 241's/.642 .643 240/244 112+4/4.30 rear/GMPP intake/tubular stuff myself)...

Ok...I really don't want to spend the money on a custom cam and head work if it isn't going to help a decent amount. Im already going to be spending a small fortune on wheels/tires, suspension and rear end.

I like that thinking (starting w/the foundation) Suspension/tires will net you faster gains and set you up for consistency . . .
