I bought a 99 SS with a (2800 miles) built 346 a few months ago..Not a daily driver.
It has L.Elloit stage 2 5.3 heads and a 228/232 114 lobe Cam,1 7/8 tsp headers through a 4" mufflex,LS6 intake, 30lbs. SVO injectors,also 6 speed and 3.73 gears..compession is around 11.3:1 or bit more..It only Dyno'd at 410rwhp and 398 touque.. That seems kinda LOW???? Can someone please tell me if theres something wrong or its normal... Car pulls very hard mid to mid high end...Just want more power and i will be adding the Dope to it after working on sum bugs..Please Help..

Hello , it is probably right where it should be with those parts . The intake and possibly the injectors/pump and throttle body and maf are keeping it from going much more than that . Also all the cam specs would need to be known to calculate potential hp .

 

+1 on chrisfrost i also think it is right where it should be also i think that is good power!! If you whant more add a fast intake/tb undrive pulley maf and could gain a good 20 or so rwhp

 

Thanks guys I forgot to mention that I also have a SLP Maf and a ported TB.. So I guess the Numbers good are uh??? So I will get a Undrive pulley and a Fast intake and so Dope....

 

So Guys would it be safe to say 11.5 on a good set of tires at the track...
