Default timing chain question

Im getting ready to install my B1 cam and 918 springs. I ordered a Rollmaster timing chain from TSP, but I just found out its not getting here until monday and Im supposed to have the cam installed saturday. My car has 50,000 miles on it, but most of those are highway miles from when my car used to be a daily driver. I hardly ever go to the track, maybe 10 passes a year. Do you think my stock timing chain will hold up to a couple dyno pulls next wednesday and maybe 5 passes down the track until I can find time to put it on? I know a lot of people are gonna say "wait till it comes in", but Ive already had to reschedule my cam install TWICE because its taking the focker so long to get here so I just want to go ahead and put the cam in, tune and dyno it, and take it to the track once..then put the chain on.

you can install the cam on saturday, put on the chain monday, and then tune it whenever...Unless your tuning it saturday, deal with your stock chain and it should hold till monday for sure

The stock timing chain should last, the main reason for replacing it is the slack in the stock chain, not for strength purposes. However, one person posted about how stock timing chain broke upon start up after a cam install. So... if it breaks, dont blame me

DONT USE THE STOCK CHAIN!

MY 382 Stroker only had 500 miles on it when my stock chain broke! It took out 14 valves. Thank god for forged pistons of id need a new short block.

Dude its really only one day of waiting .vs 2-3 weeks to get your heads and block redone. If the stock fails.

ok thanks. Actually it would be more like a week of waiting since im taking it over my friends house so he can help me, and he works during the week....so if I wait till the chain gets here I wont be able to put it in until NEXT weekend, unless I can find a chain local before saturday.

Do it once and wait for the chain.
