coolent!!!! on tuesday night i went to a meet at sonic and just was there no racing no ripping the car. The next morning i went in the garage and there was about a 1/4 cup of coolent on the ground. i went under the car and checked for leaks or any signs of water and nothing. today i started up my car and let it fun until it got up to normal operating temp and there was no leaks i dont get it. what do you guys think it could have been.
Probably the waterpump is going. When your driving the car and/or engine is running coolant often gets sprayed around. You should have a coolant smell somewhere. Also when the engine heats up, stuff tends to bind up so a leaky hose closes their leaks.
Solution: Coolant Pressure tester, try it cold and look for leaking, if none, then warm up to operating temp and carefully get the tested on the radiator neck and try again. IF you have a leak once, chances are it will still be leaking.
