Default Community Guidelines 3/4/04

Members, please take a moment to review our rules and guidelines. If you have any questions you can post them or you can PM me. We look forward to your continued cooperation in keeping our site as the most tech-oriented GM message site on the internet.

COMMUNITY RULES:

No pornography is allowed. Offensive images must be deleted, OR, if a thread has multiple violations we will move the thread into the Moderator Forum.

No racism is allowed. Offensive comments must be deleted, OR, if a thread has multiple violations we will move the thread into the Moderator Forum.

No physical threats are allowed. Offensive comments must be deleted, OR, if a thread has multiple violations we will move the thread into the Moderator Forum.

No sexism is allowed. Offensive comments must be deleted, OR, if a thread has multiple violations we will move the thread into the Moderator Forum.

We will leave a Redirect when moving a thread into the Moderator Forum.

No shops are allowed to attack, or excessively critique the efforts of, other shops. If a shop makes a negative comment about another shop, we ask that they abstain from making any additional comments of that nature and to take their disagreement to email.

No excessive bandwagoning, factionalism, and fighting is allowed. If members make more than two negative comments in a thread, we ask that you refrain from making any more comments since your point has been made, and the additional of more negative comments will not constructively contribute to the topic thread. Please notify administrators if moderators if members continue to make negative comments so that we can take corrective action.

No complaint or negative feedback threads are allowed to be posted by anyone other than the owner of the vehicle or the shop that was involved in the installation and tuning of the parts. If the shop that installed or tuned the parts has negative feedback we require that shop to have made demonstrable effort to contact the original manufacturer of the performance parts to resolve the issue before resorting to posting on our site. No other second or thirdhand complaint threads are allowed. We will lock threads that do not fit within our guidelines, or move them into the Moderator Forum. If the member who posted the second or thirdhand complaint thread appeals, they need to have the owner of the vehicle personally post the problem since second and thirdhand posts tend to leave out critical bits of information. This rule applys also to feedback threads about manufacturers, shops, and race organizers.

No controversial threads will be deleted. Any questionable threadswill be moved to the Moderators Forum since there may be follow-up with the people involved.

We reserve the right to suspend member's board privileges if they regularly violate any of our rules. If a member violates any rule more than three times that member can be banned for anywhere from two weeks to one year. These bans are appealable. But in general if a member has received three warnings it's unlikely for there to be a reversal of the suspension since we will have already exhibited a lenient attitude prior to the suspension.

We also reserve the right to revise these guidelines at anytime.
