I am not an expert but I think rods for a 4" crank are 6.125 and the ones you bought are even longer. You will need a crank and pistons to match your rods. I do not believe that your new rods with work with the factory stuff.

I don't think they will work for aftermarket parts either . If they were advertized as being for chevy LSx engines I would ask them for specifics because I have never heard of rods for these engines in that length , might be false advertising if they did say they would work . Find out and go from there . Good luck

That length would be used in a taller deck block or some mix and match combination of parts. Use Deck Height - (Rod Length + 1/2 Stroke) = In and out of the hole distance... Formula to play around with numbers and see what you can do with them if anything. The variables are interchangable using some algebra.

6.385 would be BBC. Are you sure on the length?

I just looked on C.A.T.'s site, under 3.900, 4.000, and 4.100 cranks they specify 6.348 rods. Even with 3.900 on a 9.240 deck height, math comes to (3.9/2 = 1.95) (1.95 + 6.348 = 8.298) 9.240 - 8.298 = 0.942.

Anyone else think that compression height is a little short? They do say LS1/LS6 and the part numbers on their cranks have "346" in them. My 6.0 has 1.331 and my 383 had 1.445 with .005 milled.

You will need a custom set of pistons made for that rod length.

With a stock stroke crank (3.62"), I come up with a compression height of 1.082". You'll definitely be buying pistons, no stockers are gonna work here...

I could be wrong... but they may work with a stroker piston (383/402) with a 6.125 rod and 4" stroke. I could use them... I'll give you your money back! I might steal the stroke from my 383... what is the pin diameter? Please, pm me if intersted... thanks
