Default Newbie needs motor HELP

Long story short I was givin a 98 Z28 6 speed without a bottom end. This will be an occasional driver/date night car. I want the most streetable horespower that is still dependable. I need suggestions on who can build or supply the parts for me to put a motor like this together...I live in Houston ...Thanks

Try contacting a local machine shop or performance shop they should be able to do all the work for you. As for parts there are many company's that make great parts for ls1s one of the main company's is Texas speed you should look at their website ! I would almost suggest just bolt ons exhaust, intake, tune unless you want to do more ?

Since I have no block....LS1 or LS2 or is there another motor that would be a good choice

So you have no engine at all ? It all depends on your budget if you want a cheap engine that runs good a lq4 truck engine would be good and alot of people on here have done the swap from ls1 to lq4, but if money is not an object drop an ls7 in it !
