Default ECU with EGR Delete

I'm doing an emissions legal 5.3 conversion. Before I purchase the ECU for my custom harness, which Vortec 5.3 powered GM trucks came with EGR delete? I know the 2003 Tahoe has EGR delete but I was hoping for something earlier...in the 1999 to 2001 range. Was there such a truck in that era with EGR delete?

The 2003 up truck motors don't have EGR. But the 99-2002 had EGR. Do you have to VIN for the year of the motor or just state its a "2003" motor etc...

You could just delete it an tell the inspector its a 2003+ motor. And if its a DBC motor the vans were DBC till 2006 with out EGR.

if you need to pass visual leave it hooked up but turned off in the computer it will not shoot a code and will still say pass when they hookup the scanner.

There is no visual where I live. Strictly hooking up to the ECU port and checking for codes and a gas cap integrity check.
