i hope this is in the right section but if not sorry.... ok i have a 02 c5 ls1 with a maggie blower, cam, nitrous, well im wanting more but i cant put anymore boost to it an be safe, so im gonna forge it... doing a little search im finding that for a forged 346 from texas speed is the same as a 383, any ideas an what i should do, i really want to do the 383 but not sure on if it would be a pain or not.. BTW i was looking at the callies forged roating parts.

thanks in advance Jason

Nobody does 383s anymore. Go 408 for the same price. It will handle any amount of boost your maggie can throw at it with Callies internals.

Remember heads flow better on bigger bores. I'd take a bore over a stroke any day. But with a 408 you get the best of all worlds, stroke, bore and strength. You'll be good for 800+ wheel. At this point the head studs become your bottleneck.

No with current block a hone to 3.905 or 3.908 is as large as you can go w/o sleeving. 3.908 it is not the best idea with boost IMO.... Just get an LQ block ...bigger bore and stronger...
