Default Help me Identify this Cam

I just bought a "stock short block" in an auction on Ebay. I got the engine home and right away I could tell that it had been rebuilt so I looked a little farther into it and after comparing the cam I pulled out of it to my stock Cam, it appears bigger. I can't find this part number anywhere. I think it's a GM cam but not sure. This number was stamped on the back of the cam:

0964
4 19
8244

Anyone care to shed some light on the subject?

You might want to measure the base circles of the lobes to make sure it has'nt been reground . I've seen cams from poeple thru E-bay that were reground and the base circles will be smaller than before the regrind . 1 in particular was advertised as an LS6 cam . Well the lift #'s were close to an 02-04 LS6 but every lobe was a little different , they ranged from .542 to .549 or there abouts . But the base circles were like .075 smaller than an LS6's base circles so to use this cam would have required longer p-rods plus no telling what the duration #'s were . Good luck

A bit of usefull information on stock stuff. That motor was most likely from a 98 vette.
