408 ls1 ??

Default 408 ls1 ??

i want to go with a 408 forged kit for my ls1...do i need to have it resleeved or can i just have the stock sleeves bored out...if i do need to resleeve what cost am i looking at and if too pricey should i just spend the $$ and go 427...plus i havent seen any forged 427 kits for boost...need low comp ratio on this build....any advice

Best thing for you to do would be to sell your ls1 and buy a used lq4 or lq9 and stroke it.

You cannot make a 408 out of an LS1!!! Bore is too small. You will need to look at an LQ4, LQ9, or an LS2. I would look more towards a 370 for boost application. Here are a few options...
