are my rods on right? HELP
are my rods on right? HELP had a long day today dealing with the machine shop i pressed the rods off the pistons on my own press i had. didnt pay attention to which way the rods faced on the crank. took them to the machine shop today and to get pressed on the new pistons assuming he would know what he was doing and which way the rods went in relation to the valve relief. he called me this morning wanting to me to come up there and help him guess about which way they went. heres a pic of the number one rod is it facing the right way? will the other rod face so both rounded edges are facing eachother?
I don't think it matters as long as the piston orientation is correct.
The cranks have an undercut fillet, so there won't be any interference like there would be if there was a radius. Now if it was an aftermarket rod and crank, you would have issues.
