Im going to be swapping to a new set of heads and I already have ARP head studs in my motor. The first time installing them I followed blackcamaros how to and he says to pre stretch the studs by making three passes at 65 ft lbs. Do i have to do that again or do i just do the torque sequence when installing the new heads? Also do I have to worry about coolant seeping down the bolt holes or will the studs prevent it? Thanks in advance.

My studs were wet with coolant for the first couple of heat cycles. It had me worried. But they dried up and I'm not having any issues now.

 

Howd you know they were wet with coolant?
