Default Heard a Ticking Noise on startup??

it just started..... my dad said its prolly a lifter....... he wanted me to ask this board if LS1s have self adjusting lifters and if not what does it cost to get it fixed....if thats even the problem.

The LS1 has a hydrolic lifter system stock, so it should be self-adjusting.

Check to make sure your plug wires are on good this will cause a ticking sound. Also listen under the car and with the hood up and try to locate it,it may be an tensioner pully.

If it is a lifter, you might try loosening the rockers for that cylinder and leaving them loose for about 15 mins. Then retorquing them. Doing this will sometimes cure a sticking or collapsed lifter.
