Default Is this valve spring compressor good?

I just bought a valve spring compressor from napa. But stupid me i bought the wrong one. I bought the one that doesnt have a removable handle, and the jaws are fixed and they are offset. Will this one still work under the cowl? Or should i return it and get the one that has the straight jaws and removeable handle to use a wrench? If i dont have to i dont wanna return it i got it at an awesome price. thanks

Oh yeah stupid me again. It looks exactly like the SLP one. Except that the handle is metal and cannot be removed and in has the longer jaw permenantly installed.

Look in the tool section. A man named Larry Sample I think makes a sweet little tool that makes even the back springs look like a walk in the park. The tool is so simple you can make it yourself if you want to. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about.

That's my tool! $35 delivered... larry98@alltel.net

Can't see it in this pic but the stud has a hex head for easy wrenching.

Looks good. You should include another nut to lock the threaded rod down onto the head for extra support... (would take a little longer to complete the job though)
