Default low oil pressure

rebuilt engine, first start oil pressure is normal 40 psi then once engine warms to operating temp pressure drops to 10-15 psi, really low, check engine light might pop on. If i give some rpms the pressure goes up. replaced sending unit with same results. motor sounds healthy

if its a pinched o-ring changing to a higher volume spring would be like using a band aid to fix a broken arm. what did it feel like when you installed the oil pump... did you put the o-ring on the pick up tube and then install into the pump?

You can raise the high pressure bypass pressure by putting a cpl washers between the spring and the cap/bolt . But 3rd coast is right ,,,,,,,You need to somehow pull the pick up tube off far enough to check/replace correctly the o-ring ,,,,,,,,,,,hopefully that is the problem as that would be the easiest/cheapest possible problem in You're situation . Good luck
