Default retainer locks?? Re-use or buy new?????

simple question. re-building my motor. Decided to take heads apart for some basic porting (myself of course). Anyway, my question, do i need to buy new locks for my spring retainers??? Is that good practice?? The last thing I would want is the valve to pull through my old locks fragging my motor. (by the way, my motor is a 71 400 block, with victor jr heads). Yeah, I know this is ls1tech, but you guys are the best, I know someone will know the answer. thanx

Yes, they can be re-used. Out of all the people I know that have done a H/C install I cant think of one who didnt.

.
Yes u can reuse them ... just be careful when you take them off not to drop them, they are mad tiny and i lost a ton the first time I did a swap. And if you lose one, you have to order the whole new set anyways.
