Have you considered the "HELLFIRE-TQ" or "REBEL-TQ" Camshaft from (Ed Curtis) FlowTech Induction?
Both are lsted as "BIG TORQUE" and broad street power cams..

"HELLFIRE-TQ" Camshaft
Specs: 224*-224*-110*-.635"-.610"

or

"REBEL-TQ" Camshaft
Specs: 224*-228*-111*-.600"-.600"

If you need his e-mail, I can PM it to you. If you go to Flowtech Inductions website, it's on there, as well as the custom cam sheet you'll have to fill out.

Dyno Sim really likes this cam on 109 ICL. It was one of the iterator picks for max torque between 3000-6000 in the simulations.

I have the SS HT cam in my 383 Camaro convertible. Easy to drive stop & go. Produces good power. I'd say it's a great cam for a stock cube LS1/6. I almost have too much torque from a standing start.

Dyno Sim has a program called the "iterator". It takes your given engine and intended RPM range and uses an algorithm to try every conceivable cam combination and compares the average horsepower and/or torque under the curve and gives you cam specs and power curves for each of the best performing cam specs within that RPM range. It is an interesting and helpful tool for choosing cam specs for your engine. It is just a program and is not perfect, but it is insightful. That program really likes the 224-230 with 111 LSA on a 109 ICL.

Didnt know this existed. Thats very cool and informative. Im still waiting to hear from Phil at AI but I think Im gonna contact Pat G and Ed Curtis for their opinions. Im pretty much set on AI 243s, just need the cam to compliment it. The SS HT has only put up great numbers on the little I have found on here. I cant find much on the Rebel-TQ.

I'd go with the Streetsweeper HT over the rebel toruqe cam. I think you'll have all the toruqe you need with the HT cam and you might wish you would have went bigger if you do the rebel torque cam. Just my thoughts though.

Is this program available to the public, and if so, where at? Sounds like a really helpful program.

There are other similar competitive softwares. This is the only one I have tried, so I cannot advise which is best.

Finally heard back from Phil at AI, he said his lobes arent "nearly as aggressive" as the common EPS grinds ect. His original reccomendation with the 226cc 243s was a 228/234 .600/.600.. So hmm I dont know

ssht will work great with the ai 243 heads. if you go smaller, you will have wished you had gone bigger especially for the use you are after.
