Default how much can it take

I am putting in a new camshaft and valvetrain. How high can the motor rev to? What will be the weak link if something is going break?

Well, how high the motor can rev to will depend on the cam and springs... it would be helpful if we knew what kind of car you have, what the cam specs are, what the springs are, and what kind of mods you already have.

I have 99 camaro with lid, headers, cut-out, and I am putting in a TSP 228R camshaft with patroit gold springs (dual), new pushrods, ... Basically I am thinking of reving the motor to 6400-6500 RPM.

shifting at 6500-6600 would be my limit, you could go higher but i think your on borrowed time with the stock rod bolts.

The engine will take 6500 just make sure you have good springs and pushrods. Get the car dynoed. See where your HP peaks at if it peaks at 6000 then there is no sense spinning the engine to 6500.
