did a brake torque and no miss.... im going with the torque converter trying to lock and unlock because like said only at a cruising speed and not all the time... i realized today that sometimes i have to push the throttle at least half way before the car will down shift to third or second. I want to buy a Yank 4000... will this fix my problem? i know this is the wrong section for this question...

I have a 4.8L LS from junk yard, we hanged plugs, and coils and fuel pump and filter. Everything is installed correctly it will do 1st and 2nd gear find but higher rpm’s around 3-4k it seems to break up and misfire it sounds like I have a rev limiter which is not the case. Not sure if it’s the tune or a bad motor. I have yet to check MAF which we took from anoth junk yard 5.3 it could be anything
