Default stock pushrods.

how much lift can these take? i have a 230/230 with 575 lift and plan on getting new pushrods soon, but is it ok to drive it with the stock ones in for now? keep it under 5k? 4, 3? any input is greatly appreciated. did a search and cant really find anything.

Its not lift that will be the issue, it is spring forces, accelerations and RPM and that's assuming the length is correct. If forced to do it, I would keep it under 3K. The risk is a bent pushrod could take out the valves and possibly the motor. The risk is yours though.

You did a cam, especially a decent sized one, and kept the stock pushrods? Those are a requirement with any aftermarket cam short of the GM hot cam or LS6 cam.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter how high you rev it...the fact is that even down low the new cam is pushing the pushrods (no pun) over their limit with faster ramp rates and pressure. You can bend one of them any time now, so you should do those stronger pushrods ASAP.
