Head Recommendations..
Well I need to change my valvesprings so I have decided I will just replace the heads as well. I have a 224/228 comp cam with 581/588 lift 114 lsa+1. Motor is an LS1. Budget is $2000. What heads do you go with that match up with best with said cam or do I need a different cam as well? I have an LS6 intake as well, considering going to a Fast.

when getting a set of heads does it matter if you get new rockers
why wouldnt you use the stock set that came with the engine
they are 1.7:1 from the factory.....right?????
i can see where alot of the aluminum rockers would break at the neck or base,
but is this doing it because its liter material being used??????

most after market non gm heads use bronze valve guides ,which tend to wear faster if used with stock gm rockers.trick flow offers a powder metal guide like the stock gm heads which allows the use of stock gm rockers.I recommend rebuilding you stock rockers if you reuse them.I think the trick flow 220 head is a good head for the price ,but check out some TSP PRC heads and maybe get them at a X-mas sale.
