Default Need to Understand how much work is in a Rod/Piston/Rod bolt swap

Im thinking about freshening up my bottom end, I do not want to stroke it but would love to swap the rods, rod bolts, pistons, and rings. Just curious as to how much on average this costs and if its even worth it. Looking for longevity out of my bottom end and it is boosted at 8psi so Im looking to be safe but since its a 2002 WS6 LS1 Transam, I dont want to swap the motor or bore and stroke the stock bottom end. Thoughts??

So you're taking out stock stuff to replace it with stock stuff? If so, that's not worth it at all especially if you haven't noticed any abnormal oil loss or anything that would suggest the rings are bad. IMO if you're going to pull it, have it honed and cleaned up and get a set of forged piston and rods for it.

8psi on a totally stock bottom end is no sweat for these motors. as long as its tuned properly. id just re ring it, new bearings and a set of arp rod bolts and head studs or bolts and a good hg and call it a day.
